We can carry out strain gauge installation and provide material laboratory standard test pieces for the major wind turbine manufacturers.

We also have the ability to produce and test materials and processes. We also can provide detailed reports on individual projects as part of our quality system.

Composite Component Production

This was a high-quality piece of tooling to close tolerances that needed to be capable of producing many parts without variation. Novel use of magnets for edge bars and tooling add-ons were also used in this work.

Consumable Kitting

We have helped Vestas to rapidly roll out their huge V164 turbine to production, by offering clever kitting of composite and consumable solutions. We can offer small batch kitting, with the flexibility to incorporate modification when required.

GE Blades

Act Blades

A revolutionary way to make and revive blades with sailcloth. We made a large checking fixture to verify their design path for the close tolerance structural parts.

Racing Boats

Global Homes

This was a step out of the ordinary for us. We were approached by the design team Medtec who wanted us to make mock-up tooling for their new Global home project. This idea was to redesign how modern apartments were designed and manufactured. These radical new shapes would provide a new style of living space for modern apartment dwellers. Walls would be moveable and there would be a central hub area for a library or games room. We developed these new and complex forms using new methods of forming MDF.
